Recently, i've got my self original copy of Windows Vista Business. These original copy is about RM475 in malaysia.

Some say it is the worse windows ever built. Resource hungry and a lazy piece of software when you install into the old system. If the system is not comply with it minimum requirement, you will piss. Ive already experience with it. Before that,i use the pirated windows vista. Just to feel and see the improvement to the latest and greatest windows that Microsoft built. Nay... I have to crack that windows... bla bla bla.. sometime crash bla bla.. cannot update.. bla bla.. at the end, at last , i buy the original one.

Now my pc shine with original windows vista. lol. Feel more responsive, faster and can update to the latest software patch. Less hiccup and crash. Better memory handling.After that i upgrade to 2GB RAM. Hey, i feel more responsive. More ram is better, Windows will take advantage of it.

In conclusion... use original software. What you pay is what you get. This new windows expose your hardware potential to the max. If you think that this windows sux, hey.. use older windows XP or switch to linux. lol

t's easy for Windows users to forget that WinZip isn't the only file-compression utility in the world. Acer aspire One

Recently, i buy a netbook computer.The key reason for this to do my job efficiently and mobility. Cheap to buy and easy to carry. Acer Aspire One is a line of subcompact notebook computers, or (netbooks), released in July 2008 by Acer Inc. It is based on the Intel Atom platform, which consists of the Intel Atom N270 processor, Intel 945GSE Express chipset and Intel 82801GBM (ICH7M) I/O controller. The line is manufactured for Acer Inc. by Quanta Computer,and is available in several shell colors: seashell white, sapphire blue, golden brown, onyx black, and coral pink. Its main competitors in the low-cost netbook market are the Asus Eee PC line and the Dell Inspiron Mini 9.

The design
Small, good layout and nice colour. The colour which i have is blue metallic. Because of cute looking netbook, my friend admire my netbook alot especially the girl. hehehe
Mobility
Easy to bring it to everywhere you want.Very light and comfortable. Sometime it can be camouflage as a book. Yes it is. From far, when you bring it, people wont notice it. This is good because it can prevent you from the eye of theft.

Performance
Battery was good. It can go up to max 3 hour average. Watching movie or playing games it can stand for almost 2 hour. See below:

The Intel Atom platform has a specified maximum TDP of 11.8W. Individual figures are 2.5W for the N270 processor, 6W for the 945GSE chipset and 3.3W for the 82801GBM I/O controller. The AUO B089AW01 LCD panel is rated at a maximum power consumption of 3W.Typical read/write power consumption for the SSD is around 0.3W, and 0.01W when idle. The different HDDs are rated at about 1.5-2.5W for read/write operations and around 0.7W when idle.

The linux linpus preload has a very fast interface. Good function and easy to navigate. Prefer for beginner only

I kill this linux and i install windows xp in it. With XP you will suffer slow performance because of SSD limitation. There is a workaround to overcome this. This small little beast can also be install with Vista and not recomended to use ot because you will have the same problem as xp and the patch only work with xp only.

GIGABYTE MOUSE (GM-R03)

I got myself a new mouse to replace my old buggy optical mouse that cease to function recently. I do research to find the best and affordable mouse with comfort for my hand

The design

1st impression for this mouse when i look at picture in internet, i were not impressed.. lol whuuut?

However, in reality i view the mouse at dealer actually looks really nice. I bought it because it nice and comfort to hold.Better than my old mouse.

Functionality
Before this, I had a 3-year optical mouse with 800 dpi, to compare the performance,this thing very sensitive with 1600dpi.Double the sensor speed. The cursor moves right across my screen in instant and very accurate laser guide sensor.

Let feel the mouse:
Firstly, the middle button (scroll ball) isn’t nearly as smooth but doesnt matter with me.
Secondly, play FPS games. Better accuracy in aiming and good response rate.
Thirdly, the middle button -on the side of the mouse- acts as both a middle-click AND a back button. It has three extra button at you thumb and function as back,forward and launch program shortcut.

Upmix stereo sound to 5.1 surround with Audition 1.5 or 2.0

Don’t you ever think that your music or sound can do more than stereo? How about convert it to 5.1 surround sound then… Ill show you how.

This is a basic guide for creating 5.1 files in Adobe Audition 1.5-2.0

Hardware requirement:

Mutichannel sound card is require.

· Minimum specification 5.1-7.1 sound channel, 96khz/24bit

· ASIO support.If your card doesn’t support ASIO, you can use ASIO4all driver that emulate ASIO driver on top of your WDM sound driver

Multichannel Speaker

· Minimum 5.1 multimedia speaker. Recommended is speaker with discreet subwoofer channel for better and accurate sound reproduction.

Using the V.I Suite plugins for Adobe Audition but the basic method would be the same if you used non-V.I plugins. The plugin just to the job much easier and you don’t have to think hard to do best 5.1 surround.

This will not teach you how to use Adobe Audition. It assumes you already know that. If not, learn at least the basics.

To start with, download and install the following:

1.V.I Suite 1.1 Installer 5.1 audio plugin reproduction
2.Classic Master Limiter Audio limiter to prevent clipping

Adobe Audition does not support the 2-in/6-out V.I plugin, but it does support the 2-in/2-out fLfR, CLFE, and sLsR plugins. Using Adobe Audition's Multitrack , it's possible to create 6 channels that you can then encode to surround sound using AC3, DTS or other 5.1 encoders.

Important: Before starting this guide, be sure to point Audition to your VST Plugins folder. To do so, choose Add/Remove VST Directory from the Effects menu when in Audition's Edit view.

· When Audition opens, choose File > Import to import your stereo source file.
· Double-click on the file list at left to open the file in Edit view.
· Choose Edit > Convert Sample Type.
· Select 32 bit from the list at the right of the dialog box and click OK.
· If your final destination for the conversion is to be DVD, select 48000 from the sample rate list and move the slider towards "High Quality." (leave it at 44100 for a surround CD). Leave the Channels and Dither settings as is. Click OK.
· Select entire wave file (Ctrl+A or right click and choose Select Entire Wave).
· Choose Effects > Amplitude > Amplify/Fade.
· When Amplify/Fade opens, select the Center Wave preset from the list at the right. Uncheck the box to the left of Lock Left/Right. Check the box next to DC Bias, select Differential and then click the Find Zero Now button. The program scans the file and updates the DC Bias values if it finds an offset. Click OK to remove this offset.
· While still in Edit View, Press Ctrl+M three times to copy the file into the first three multitrack slots.
· Switch to Multitrack view by clicking on the tab or pressing the 9 key.
· Click the FX button for Track 1 in Multitrack view.
· Find fLfR in the Installed Real-Time Effects tree on the left under VST and click the Add button to add fLfR to the Current Effects Rack list on the right.
· Add a limiter. This can be the Kjaerhus Audio Classic Master Limiter, or others such as Audition’s own Hard Limiter.
· Click the Properties buttons to display the plugin interfaces. Make adjustments to each as required. Be sure to leave the Mixer tab settings in Series mode.
· Click the FX button for Track 2 in Multitrack view. This time, add CLFE and a limiter to the effects rack.
· Click the FX button for Track 3 in Multitrack view. This time, add sLsR and a limiter to the effects rack. Some might want to add a reverb plugin or impulse response convolution plugin in this track as well.
· For each of the three tracks listed in the Track List, select each track and then set the Panning Assignment list on the right as follows:
Track 1: FL+FR, stereo (Audition 1.5) or L + R, stereo (Audition 2.0)
Track 2: Center+LFE, stereo (1.5 & 2.0)
Track 3: Ls+Rs, stereo (1.5 & 2.0)
· Click the Play All button to preview your output. If you have a multichannel soundcard that is properly configured in Audition, you'll be able to hear the 5.1 channel mix correctly. Check your output levels with the meter across the bottom to make sure there is no sound going past 0dB.
· When ready, click the Export button and choose to export 6 mono wave files, one interleaved 6-channel wave file or even a Windows Media Audio Pro 6-channel file. Note: If you choose one interleaved 6-channel wave file, avoid the top choice ("type 3") in the Format options dropdown list. There can be problems with this setting. The "32-bit, 4-byte integer (type 1)", the 24-bit or 16 bit settings should be fine (Just be sure to use dithering if you go for 16-bit output).

This guide is just a basic. If you're familiar with Audition or are an expert, I'm sure you'll come up with variations that work for you. For example, you may want to split one or more of the stereo tracks to six mono tracks and then apply effects as required. Certainly some compression on the LFE track can add some extra bottom end where required. You could add reverb to the rear channels by adding additional effects to that channel's effects rack with a reverb plugin. Always remember to use a limiter plugin after all the others.

Experiment. Try feeding sLsR with a reverb plugin. Reverse their order and see what the result sounds like. You could also use other plugins instead of the V.I Suite or in combination with them. For example, Audition has a very powerful Center Channel Extractor plugin that some find effective. This or similar 3rd-party plugins can producing warbling artifacts, so you have to play with their settings to get good results. Anyway, the only limit is your imagination.

P/S: After you done export,you can use DTS or Dolby encoder software to encode the output file from Audition.

Deluge BitTorrent Client

Deluge is a bittorrent client for Linux and other Unix-Like operating systems. Deluge was created because of the lack of a good, native, GTK based torrent solution for Linux. When Deluge was first released in September 2006, it was very limited and lacking in features, but over the last year, Deluge has been one of, if not the most rapidly developed bittorrent client on the web. Now, Deluge is among the most feature-rich clients in development (second only to Azureus, but without the bloat, and ahead of µTorrent according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BitTorrent_client) , and it does this without the need of tools such as Java or Wine.

Currently stable is Linux version.Windows version is still alpha.. I'm using this right now and i feel great althought not great as utorrent and azureus. The dowsize is you cannot create torrent. lol whuuut? For me, i dont care for that. What i care is i can download and donwload is so much fun. ;P

My ISP cap my torrent download althought i turn encryption on in utorrent or in azureus. The speed is around 1KB/s to 7KB/s with 3000 seeder which is ridiculus .When i try this , my speed is back. I capable to download with max speed at 150KB/s.

Recently i get myself a new soundcard from creative. In comparison with my on board sound Intel HDA 7.1 96khz/24bit and Audigy Value 7.1 96khz/24bit ,there is huge different between those two.In Audigy the sound much more crisp and accurate make my gaming so much fun and little cpu resource.The different is for Intel HDA up to EAX 2.0 and Audigy Value up to EAX Advanced HD 4.0. The feature that on board unable to catch up.

Althought Creative is offering latest and greatest X-FI soundcard but it out of my budget. It simply awesome product with great future but price matter. Better spend for fastest VGA card or CPU duh..

The idea of purchasing a personal computer may be appealing to a lot of people, however they may feel undecided as weather to go for a traditional desktop computer or for a light weight portable notebook. Several aspects should be taken into consideration as for the purposes of such acquisition. If the main purpose of buying a computer is for occasional use, regardless if it is for work or entertainment activities, one may consider buying a traditional desktop computer taking in consideration that its price is usually lower than the portable version.

The maintenance and eventual upgrade of a desktop computer is also much easier to perform and less costly. If the buyer is looking to spend the least amount of money, definitely the desktop computer models offer more choices of finding better deals weather it is used or new. One may look around the local computer stores for special deals or may consider browsing the many possibilities offered online stores.

Perhaps the greatest feature a desktop computer has is the fact that quite often it can be upgraded and personalized to suit the user needs without having to be sent back to the manufacturer. DVDs continue to be the prominent medium for home theater entertainment. The technology is being refined and improved upon by a number of manufacturers, making its future slightly uncertain though it is definitely clear that it will continue is one format or another. Many of you have probably been hearing about Blu-ray and HD-DVD discs and their path as the next generation of DVDs. The discrepancies between the two are confusing many home theater buyers, so it’s important to know just what each of these new technologies has to offer so that you can make an informed decision on what to purchase and when.

Let’s start by discussing just what Blu-ray is. Chances are, if you’ve stepped into any of the leading home theater and electronics stores in the country, you’ve seen Blu-ray discs advertised in the DVD section. In truth, Blu-ray discs are somewhat like traditional DVDs, except that they have the ability to record, rewrite, and playback high definition (HD) video that is compatible with the growing number of HD televisions finding their way into home theaters every year. Unlike traditional DVDs, Blu-ray discs can hold nearly five times as much data. On a single layer disc, they can hold 25GB of data, and 50GB can be stored on a dual layer disc. By being able to hold so much more, Blu-ray discs are able to easily store the advanced information necessary to provide content in HD format.

HD-DVD offers the same technology, though it isn’t able to hold as much information as Blu-ray. Developed by Toshiba and NEC, it is able to hold three times as much data as traditional DVDs. While this may be less than Blu-ray, the data capacity of HD-DVDs still exceeds the amount needed to watch major blockbusters in high-definition. HD-DVD also came out much sooner and was first quoted to be the successor to the standard DVD format. HD-DVD is completely compatible with HD-DVD players, which in turn are compatible with HD televisions. High definition technology is certainly the wave of the future for home entertainment, and HD-DVD was the first disc technology formatted for it.

Both Blu-ray and HD-DVD discs use a new form of laser that improves on what the standard DVD used. While older, standard DVD models used a red laser to transfer content from disc to player to screen, these two technologies use a blue-violet laser instead. The main benefit with using blue-violet lasers is that they have a shorter wavelength than red lasers. This means that they can be focused with a much higher rate of accuracy.

As you can see the differences between these two formats are very few, In short, Blu-ray is able to hold more information than HD-DVD, but HD-DVD has been around for much longer and still holds an adequate amount for any applications currently in the market. Both formats use blue-violet lasers to better read the information.

The biggest question right now is which format will end up on top. Blu-ray has the added advantage of being backed up by some major players in the movie business. Seven of the eight major Hollywood movie studios have released films in Blu-ray format recently, while five of them are releasing films exclusively on Blu-ray. HD-DVD has the backing of several major consumer electronics manufacturers but does have some ground to make up with the production companies. However, with the added experience of being in production longer and having consumers more familiar with the name, it’s very possible for them to pull ahead. The race to be the top home entertainment format will continue on and the consumer will simply need to wait to see which one wins. In the meantime, players are available for both formats and some manufacturers have players that satisfy both formats available.

Aren't you tired of the high price of gasoline for your car? Not to mention your concern for the environment. Well, a solution to both of these concerns may be just around the corner. For years, scientists have being working on an alternative energy source that promises to change the way we live by changing the source of fuel for some of our most basic energy-using engines. This new technology is called a fuel cell, and it's based on using water as the original source of the fuel! A fuel cell provides a DC (direct current) voltage that can be used to power motors, lights, or any number of electrical appliances--including cars.

The technical name for a fuel cell is an electrochemical energy conversion device. You've actually been using one for many years, which is a battery. All batteries are electrochemical energy conversion devices.
But hydrogen fuel cell technology is a new twist on an old theme. Here's the basic idea of how it works:

A fuel cell converts the chemicals hydrogen and oxygen into water, and in the process it produces electricity. The difference between a simple battery and a fuel cell is that all the chemicals are stored inside the battery. The battery converts those chemicals into electricity but eventually it "goes dead" as the chemicals are used up. So you end up either throwing it away or recharging it.

On the other hand with a fuel cell, chemicals constantly flow into the cell. So as long as there is a flow of chemicals into the cell, electricity flows out of the fuel cell. Simply put, a fuel cell releases electrons from the hydrogen gas, creating electricity with the waste product being pure water! The electricity is used to power an electrical device--like the electric motor to run your car.

In an internal combustion engine, the gasoline engine burns gas and the battery converts chemical energy back into electrical energy when needed. However, fuel cells should do both tasks more efficiently.

This reaction in a single fuel cell produces only about 0.7 volts. To get this voltage up to a reasonable level, many separate fuel cells must be combined to form a fuel-cell stack.

One problem with using hydrogen is that it is not easily stored for consumer use. Other alternatives could be natural gas, propane, and methanol gas. But the primary objective of using fuel cell technology is pollution reduction. The fuel cell is also very efficient. Around 80% of the fuel used in these hydrogen fuel cells is converted into usable energy compared to only 20% for a gasoline powered engine and about 30% overall for a battery powered electric vehicle.

There is no question that the fuel cell holds great promise for the future. However, many challenges remain, and it's been predicted that hydrogen fuel cell technology won't be available for the masses until around 2050.

AMD will be launching cards based on their RV670 GPU on November 19th. The card will be named Radeon HD 2950 Pro and will be offered in two flavors: Gladiator and Revival. The Gladiator board will ship with 512MB of GDDR4 memory clocked at 2.4GHz and an 825MHz graphics core, while Revival's GPU will run at 750MHz with 256MB or 512MB of 1.8GHz GDDR3.RV670 is rumored to support DirectX 10.1 and PCIe 2.0, and is expected to be equipped with 320 stream processors, just like today's R600 GPU.

RV670 is built for PCIe 2.0 and will apparently have the same amount of shader processors as R600 (320), but a narrower memory bus; 256 bit. The overall core design has been slightly rearranged and according to some sources even cut down a bit. This particular card only has 256 MB memory too, but it runs at 900 MHz GGDR3. There will probably be 512 MB and GGDR4 versions too in the future.

The question is, can 256bit beat 512bit memory bus? What exactly AMD wanted to do is to create GPU with efficient power handling and better performance per clock just like their cpu product.As u can see this product will replace current HD2900 (R600) . RV670 will surpass R600 with performance by default.

Well this is just rumor circulate in internet.Hope that is true and finally the clash of titan of GPU King between ATI and Nvidia will be more interesting..
